« David Wogahn Led Me thru the Labyrinth of Self-Publishing »
People have asked me: “How did you format your manuscript for publication? How did you decide which eBook formats to use?” Simple answer: Sellbox, Inc. A couple years ago I heard Sellbox managing partner David Wogahn talk to writers about getting their work published. I kept him in mind because I thought, “I like what I’m hearing and might want to go to this guy when I get to that place with my manuscript.”
The world of self-publishing is changing faster than a writer can keep up with. So David does that part. I also like that he is close by, didn’t try to talk me into anything I didn’t want, told me how to do what I wanted, and then proposed a contract that sounded really fair to me.
So, I’m shouting out a “THANK YOU, DAVID!” And just to share more about his work, here’s a short bio:
No stranger to digital publishing, David Wogahn created his first eBook in 1991, developed multimedia CD-ROMs for ABC Sports in 1995, and launched the first of dozens of websites beginning in 1996, many of those for the largest university athletic departments in the United States. Wogahn traces his passion for technology back to the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, where he managed IBM’s donation to the XXIII Olympiad.
Wogahn is managing partner of the eBook publishing and marketing services firm SellBox. SellBox provides eBook design and conversion services, distribution of eBooks to online stores and eBook consulting. SellBox also works with businesses and organizations that wish to self-publish branded content as eBooks.
Successful eBook Publishing: The Complete How-to Guide for Creating and Launching Your Amazon Kindle eBook is Wogahn’s first book after publishing five annual editions of the Golf Yellow Pages, a 200-page business directory mailed to more than 16,000 golf courses nationwide.
