« Applause for Friends with Great Commitment to Ecological Justice »

One can’t overstate the quality and integrity of the work that the Eco-Justice Collaborative (EJC) brings to the conversation and efforts for OneEarth living. Before forming and directing the EJC, Lan and Pam Richart, were the principals in the company they owned in Chicago’s western suburbs. That’s when I got to know them. They were working on land use, natural resource management, and the environmental impacts of public works projects.

Starting in the mid-1990s, Lan, Pam, and I were all having our eyes more widely opened to ecological and economic injustices as we attended events and then traveled to Latin American counties. Especially impactful, was how our lifestyles and economics in the U.S. fostered injustices toward people and the environment in Mexico and other countries. When they sold their business, they began the Eco-Justice Collaborative. Wow! Just look at their website!

Our friendship has continued. Lan has read my book, Blinded by Progress, and has reviewed it, posting comments on both Amazon and Goodreads. Readers who post reviews help the author and help themselves by adding to the conversation on the themes of the book. So, readers, add your comments! Your review of Blinded by Progress lets you share your convictions with others! As you know, Amazon gets lots of readers. Goodreads does too given it has 20 million members.

AND, I’m grateful to Pam and Lan that they have included my book on their informative website. They also deserve applause for being principal hosts of both the 2012 and 2013 Bioneers Conferences in Chicago.
